We now homeschool most of our children, but that does not mean its cheaper. In fact, it becomes more expensive as the kids are more visual than they are route learners, so they attend more practical workshops, camps and excursions. In the past two years we have systematically closed the gaps left by the trauma and abuse they have faced. We want them to know they can be anything they dream to be, despite their past trauma.
In the words of Nelson Mandela: “EDUCATION IS THE TOOL WITH WHICH WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD.” We believe that education is vital in breaking the cycle of abuse and poverty.
Our entire Home School programme is funded by the Myron Trust and we are extremely grateful to Paul and Maria for their ongoing support in this vital part of breaking the cycle of poverty through education.
Our older girls moved into Independent Assisted Living in September 2022. This was a long term dream that finally came to fruition. Thank you to all those who bought into this vision and dream and made it a reality!
