My name is Ezekiel, and I am 16 years old. Recently, I embarked on a significant journey by leaving Rainbow of Hope and going to live with my biological mother in Krugersdorp. This transition hasn’t been easy, and I’ve faced a variety of challenges. Despite these hurdles, I remain committed to learning and growing. I have asked to stay on the website as my ties with Rainbow of Hope will probably be forever. I also know that I would like to continue home schooling on Think Digital and Rainbow of Hope will support me with my education. I am extremely grateful for this.I believe that with effort and a positive mindset, I can overcome any obstacle and continue to grow as an individual.

Henrietta’s favourite subjects are History, Afrikaans and English. She loves to dance and her favourite colours are black and blue. She’s also a long distance and cross country athlete and she would love to study further to become a nurse or go into children’s law.

Joey has found healing at Rainbow of Hope through drawing and painting and she aspires to be a renowned artist one day. She love putting art on clothing. she would like to one day open her own art studio. She has been doing gymnastics for about 4 years but recently joined a new club called Mega Gymnastics with Keenan and Grace.

Keenan loves to draw. It relaxes him and keeps him out of mischief! However, he does NOT like school! He loves clowning around far more! Keenan’s dream is to become a stuntman in movies. He recently changed gymnastics clubs. He now attends Mega Gymnastics. When joining gym Keenan went from a beginner to Level one in two week! He is now in Level 4 for both gymnastics and tumbling! He has won four gold medals in four different competitions. Later in this year, 2023, he will be participating in the Western Province Gymnastics Championships!

Diagnosed with autism, Lauretta has defied all odds. Since a young age her dream has been to be a ballerina. She has been with Glory of Dance for the past 6 years. Lauretta also does Aerial dancing and rock climbing on a Wednesday at Bloc 11 in Paarden Eiland. She loves dancing…that is her passion! She also loves cooking and baking too! She one day wants to teach ballet and dance. absolutely loves this!

Lucy’s dream is to become a professional soccer player. She recently joined Goodwood United Soccer Club. Her experience there has been rather peaceful, but, with that being said, she has scored a few goals! Outside of soccer Lucy is an amazing dancer. Her dancing skills are put to good use on the soccer field! We are SO proud of you Lucy! Keep up the good work!

2022 saw Natalie go and live with her biological mom. She is doing well but will always be part of the Rainbow of Hope family. She has set her heart on joining the Military. She loves listening to slow jamz. Natalie is currently completing grade 7 at Think Digital, an online school. Keep on reaching for the stars Natalie!

I lived at Rainbow of Hope for 10 years and then moved onto Assisted Independent Living at O’Graceland at the Eco Village in Pinelands. I made the decision to move from Rainbow of Hope and even though it wasn’t the best decision I was supported throughout this journey by everyone at Rainbow of Hope. So yes, even though I no longer live there, I still find major support through them. My dream is to be a Foot Care Specialist/Podiatrist. I am currently studying for my matric part time and working part time at a Salon called Heaven on Earth.

Shakiras dream is to become a pianist. She attends Deborah Gerbers Music Academy in Welgelegen. Piano has become not only her career choice but also a hobby. She plays in the church’s Praise and Worship team. She also really loves Rock Climbing and is part of the High Performance Team. She will be attending the World Championships in Korea in August 2023. She is currently in Grade 9 at Think Digital, an online school.

Now in her early twenties Shayner has lived at Rainbow House for 14 years. Her dream was always to work with animals, but, she has found a new love…teaching! On the side she is both a Sh’Zen, Herbalife and Annique sales lady. Shayner also babysits and pet sits as a means to supplement her income. She loves drawing, does nails. Shayner has now moved into what we call Assisted Independent Living with Zoe. She is studying online towards a Bed Degree. Shayner is enjoying her new found independence!

Hip with the hype. I’m Zoe the tiny explosive, happy when there’s a beat to get me moving. I got smooth moves while I’m grooving. I LOVE dancing and would like to one day teach dance. I live at Assisted Independent Living with Shayner since last year. I am studying part time towards my matric. I would also like to do a course in Project Management.
